Downrates Bladi ha did um tum bum

It's as usual an awful hour of the morning for me to be up and about but since I seem to have gotten most of my sleep from a combination of naps on the bus, in front of the computer and on the bog, sleeping does not seem to be much of a priority at the moment.

I'm still broke, which is pretty shitty but week has thus far, been productive. The Straits Times article on factoring came out yesterday (Oct 1, 2007), which happened to be GE Day in Singapore. The article was a good general article about the factoring industry in Singapore and GECF was positioned as one of the main industry players and most importantly, the reporter managed to quote Mr Ed Ng, the Southeast Asia CEO of GE Commercial Finance. I was delighted with the quote because it hit onto the positioning that I had proposed for GECF - they sounded like ' Champion of the SMEs'. Anyway, the client is happy and now, I want to get them a few more bits of coverage in the media - need to sustain this to make it effective.

GE Day itself was productive. Managed to visit the booths of the various business units and got a better understanding of how the company works. Managed to meet people from the other business units. I just wanted to get my face about and I managed to do it. Its going to be a long struggle to make inroads but I guess every step counts.

Other than that, life is getting a wee bit more routine. Its a case of waking up, bashing out a few things infront of the key board, making phone calls, meals, listening to music and then its back infront of the computer trying to develop my click empire. At this stage, extracting US$10 per site is akin to visiting the dentist but hey, it does not require brain power and before you know it, I may have a small pile stashed away somewhere safe from my prying hands.
