Final Stretchy Wetchy Weekend

October is slowly but surely comming to an end and as the 10th month comes to an end, the end of the year becomes highly visible. And when one gets the feeling that things are comming to an end, a need to do several things comes to the fore.

For a start, unfinished projects need to be finalised. In this case, its the collection of money from the GECF job and the tying up of more interviews for Ed, the regional CEO. As things stand, GECF are happy with the job done and it's Insh Allah, I can build on that. GE has been rated as one of the world's best companies to work for and the fact that I can place them on the tang-asia url is a tremendous boost. If I can make something of the relationship with them, I should be able to make other things work to.

Then there are remaining jobs with Alcon and 3M. These companies have helped me keep alive throughout the year. Have not gone into huge profits but thanks to them, I've had spending money - enough to keep me alive during the year. So, if I can keep the work flowing for these companies, I can keep my cash flow, flowing nicely and who knows, there may be a profit or two within this lot of activities.

Other than the work front, I'm looking forward to a few personal events taking place in November. My baby sister, Tara will be swinging by Singapore in November, en route to my cousin Luke's wedding in Australia. Won't be going but I'm glad Tara will be making her way. Mum has reminded me that this is the "First" wedding in the family - mine to Gina, as she often says - does not count.

It will be good to see my sister. It's been a long while since we've seen each other. I think it will be the first time she has come by Singapore since my grandmother died. She seems to ejoy the artistic, bohemian life in London - even if, like me, she's skint on quite a few occasions. I think, for her, life is pretty much the UK - her friends who have become part of her extended family are all there.

As for me, I currently don't have travel plans. I should probably make a trip to Batam. Lilly has been bugging me to go and I have not visited Indonesia for a while. I'm told that its possible to find peace of sorts from the hustle and bustle of Singapore.

Then there is Vietnam. I would really love to spend time with Han Li in her home environment. More importantly, I get to see Thui and to see how much she's grown in the year that she has been back in Vietnam. Once again, I'm told that Vietnam has opportunities that don't seem to exist in Singapore.
